Split is a city situated in the very heart of ancient Illyric and Roman region Dalmatia, the second largest in Croatia. It is the city of unique beauty, mild climate, clean sea and inspiring and rich Mediterranean culture, history and tradition. The city centre is made up of the Old Age Diocletian’s palace from the 4th century (under UNESCO protection since 1979).

The sight of the city is formed by the well-known Cathedral of St. Duje too, from which one can enjoy beautiful view at the vivid harbour, the third largest at the whole Mediterranean as far as the number of passengers is concerned. The natural, cultural and historic richness of its surrounding islands, coast and hinterland are its additional value which is well known around the globe.
